Foster Grandparent Program
FGP is for individuals age 55 or older and living on a limited income. The participants must be income eligible and serve as mentors and tutors for children and youth with special needs. Volunteers provide 20 hours of weekly service in the school system, Head Start centers, nonprofit day cares, hospitals, and youth centers. Funded by the Corporation of National Services and local contributions.
